I'm a native of St. Paul, MN and have lived in Atlanta, GA since 2013.  A mixed chick, tomboy, teen mom from the hood that took full advantage of all opportunities to learn and excel. I am the product of so many experiences that equipped me with the capabilities to see the world through many lenses.  My street smarts blended with a world class education through the University of St. Thomas has taught me to be a "thinker", a "realist" and an "optimist".  I'm not content fitting into any one box, I am a renaissance woman who believes she can be all things that are in her heart to be.

I am the Community Development Manager for Pinnacle Financial Partners in Atlanta, GA, providing expertise and guidance in the area of community investments, lending and service.  The primary focus of this role is to make certain that the bank is committed to low-to-moderate income communities, those most in need of additional investment.

 

Through the years, I've explored many hobbies and interests including rap music, creating an interior design company, TK Home Staging & Design and recently found myself in search of love as a cast member of the Will Packer and OWN Network show Ready to Love.  The majority of my life and career, though, has been dedicated to educating and inspiring primarily underserved populations as an elementary teacher, a community development manager and a prison employee. 

 

My passion and purpose is my non-profit 501c3, LIFERS Inc. This program delivers curriculum that focuses on reducing recidivism among juvenile offenders and ensuring successful re-entry for returning citizen adults . Click on the nonprofit link in the menu to learn more.

In 2020, with the partnership and sponsorship of several Atlanta area organizations, I founded Project Restart.  This is a nonprofit program that aims to reduce recidivism through providing employment & entrepreneurship training coupled wtih mentorship and financial capital.  Click on the nonprofit link in the menu to find out more.

I'm the mother of a 27-year old son, 5-year old granddaughter, daughter, sister to 4 siblings, auntie to 11 nieces and nephews and a friend and ally to many.
